First-wave feminism was a period of feminist activity and thought that occurred during the 19th and early 20th century throughout the Western world. It focused on legal issues, primarily on securing women's right to vote. 

Second-wave feminism was a period of feminist activity that began in the United States in the early 1960s and lasted roughly two decades. It quickly spread across the Western world, with an aim to increase equality for women by gaining more than just the giving of a right or privilege. 

 It began in the United States in the early 1990s . third-wave feminists sought to question, reclaim, and redefine the ideas, words, and media that have transmitted ideas about womanhood, gender, beauty, sexuality, femininity, and masculinity, among other things. 

Postfeminism is a term used to describe a societal perception that many or all of the goals of feminism have already been achieved. Post-feminism gives the impression that equality has been achieved and that feminists can now focus on something else entirely when it's not the case 

Black feminism : argues that sexism, class oppression, and racism are inextricably bound together. Classical liberal or libertarian feminism :  It holds that women, as well as men, have a right to such freedom due to their status as self-owners.

There is a lot of types and waves of feminism but  they're all focused on one important point which is equality and maybe the name of the movement gives the  wrong impression that feminism is only about females but it's not true . Feminism concerns males , females and queer people as well . Wherever there is inequality there is feminism to stop it .
